2009-12-07 Terrascape Beta 1.0 demo available - Click here to follow link A demo version of the Terrascape GIS web-mapping component is available on the web. Click here to access this. The demo displays the typical capability of the mapper and its associated tools and functions. The demo includes maps in different contexts to show the different ways in which GIS can assist client operations. Terrascape renders crisp, responsive and easy to use GIS maps across the web, which ensures a pleasant user experience. The main Terrascape map renderer is Adobe Flash based, but in addition renderers exist for both bitmaps as well as Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG). Geometry and other attribute data is extracted on the fly from the underlying MS SQL based Terrascape geo-database. Multiple query, search and other GIS tools are available within the Terrascape product. Terrascape has already been used by Aspire Solutions and its associates in many GIS applications for various clients. This extends from enterprise-wide GIS initiatives to single purpose interactive map solutions. Terrascape is now being offered to other solutions companies and end-user as both a self-hosted package or a hosted software-as-a-service package.
