2009-12-01 Aspire's Cape Town office flooded On Sunday the 1st of December 2009 at 4pm an air-conditioner pipe burst flooding the entire Aspire Cape Town office and all adjacent offices on our floor. At its worst, the water was about 3 inches deep across the entire floor and caused damage to computer equipment, carpets, desks and other furniture. A relatively speedy response by building management meant removal of all standing water and the installation of de-humidifiers which are still hard at work sucking up the moisture. A quick rearranging of cables and plugs meant that the office was up and running from a communications point of view within a few hours. The office is not quite back to normal, with power trips being the order of the day, but for now the worst is over. All thanks to the Aspire staff members for their help and understanding during this event. |
